Photography & Charity

In April and October of 2009, I held two "Passports For Produce" events in support of the Community Food Bank. As a result, 116 people had their passport photo taken, and in turn, approximately $2300 in food and monetary donations was raised. A CBC Radio interview can be heard here.

In May of 2010, I helped to raise approximately $2500 for the Food Bank through an event I developed, "Prints For Produce" in parterniship with Valley Business Equipment, Inc. Six images of mine were sold as prints of various sizes, with 100% of the profits going towards the Community Food Bank.

In 2009 and 2010, over 90 people have taken my photo courses in support of the Melville Public Library. From understanding camera buttons and basic photo terminology, to more advanced photo techniques, the events have been well attended and well received.
